If you've uploaded fillable PDFs to your site, and placed them on a page with the goal of visitors being able to fill them out, you may experience the issue that they don't work. This is because we use the Imagify plugin to compress all media items during the upload process to reduce the amount of space needed; which helps your website deliver content faster to your web visitors, as well as keeping you within your server space limits. This compression applies to all images and pdfs uploaded.
However, we have a workaround! If you require fillable PDF functionality, contact support so we can enable the workaround for your site. Note: your PDFs will no longer be size-reduced, so if you can reduce them before uploading that will help you manage your media library storage more effectively.
