This will allow the page to ONLY be viewed if someone is logged into the backend of your website. Also, only users with roles of Administrator or Editor can view private pages.
Private pages are not able to be navigated to, or discovered by search engines. Even if someone has the direct link to the page, they cannot see it unless they are logged into your website as an administrator or editor.
